The problem

A practical run at a small commerce catalogue: sellers listing items, buyers filtering by category/price/brand, and an identity layer that doesn't need a full custom auth service to be secure.

What I built

React on the front end with faceted filtering driven straight off the product schema rather than hardcoded filter lists, a Node.js API for listings and seller accounts, and Firebase for authentication and hosting so identity and deployment didn't need to be reinvented for what's fundamentally a catalogue app.

Where it landed

A live, working storefront that's also the project I point to when someone asks how I'd scope a small e-commerce front end quickly without over-engineering the parts that don't need it.
