The problem
I kept rebuilding the same Proxmox host by hand after hardware swaps and lab resets — repository setup, kernel/networking quirks on Debian, the post-install checklist Proxmox's own installer doesn't cover. Every rebuild cost an evening and a browser full of forum posts.
What I built
A shell script that takes a bare Debian install and gets it to a working, updated Proxmox VE host in one pass: correct APT repositories (no enterprise subscription nag), kernel and network bridge configuration, and the handful of sane defaults I always end up setting manually otherwise.
Where it landed
What used to be an evening of following my own half-remembered notes is now one command. It's public on GitHub mainly because other people hit the exact same friction setting up a home lab or a small on-prem hypervisor.
